The Relationship Manager is a professional level position that requires the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

This role is responsible for maintaining and enhancing relationships with retirement plan clients and key intermediaries, ensuring client satisfaction through periodic client meetings and discussions covering service levels, plan utilization, client retention, product sales, plan profitability, and fund investment performance. This position also works closely with sales, recordkeeping and operations staff, to ensure the best possible outcomes for our clients. This role may also participate in sales finalist presentations. This is an exempt level position and is not eligible for overtime.

The ideal candidate has three to five years of relationship management or plan administration experience Industry (Defined Benefit plan experience a plus), possesses strong verbal and written communications skills, knowledge of the retirement industry and competitive environment.

Qualifications:


  • Bachelor’s degree or relevant work experience


  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience working in financial services


  • Knowledge of and understanding of Retirement Industry (Defined Benefit plan experience a plus)


  • Technical knowledge of record keeping systems / processes a plus


  • Proven excellent customer service skills and progressive probing skills


  • Strong verbal and written communication skills


  • Strong commitment to timing and quality standards


  • Ability to understand and apply complex compliance concepts


  • Ability to identify and facilitate issue resolution


  • Proven ability to take initiative


  • Proven prioritization and organizational skills


  • Proven ability to understand and apply new concepts and products


  • Ability to work on multiple tasks simultaneously


  • Ability to react and adapt to changes in a positive and productive manner


  • Ability to handle other essential tasks as assigned


  • Ability to work independently and as a team player


  • Ability to travel (between 15% – 20% of travel is required), and


  • NASD Series 6, 63, and Life Insurance licensing required within 120 days of employment


*Note: Prudential is required by Colorado law to include the salary range for this role when hiring a Colorado resident.

Salary range specific to Colorado: $55,800-$75, 000 + discretionary incentive bonus + benefits. Eligibility to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program is subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance. In addition, employees are eligible for standard benefits package including paid time off, medical, dental and retirement.
