Arthrex, Ave Maria, FL. is actively searching for a Supply Chain Production Planner II to identify planning issues and propose solutions. The successful candidate will constructively release work orders and/or coordinate production planning activities related to high mix production. Job responsibilities will also consists of optimizing the capacity planning function to ensure demand forecasts can be supported. The schedule will be as follows- Monday- Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm

 

 

 

Main Objective:

Releases work orders and/or coordinates production planning activities relating to high mix production

Optimize the capacity planning function to ensure demand forecasts can be supported

Coordinates changes in sourcing decisions or capital investments based on capacity analysis

 

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:


  1. Actively identifies planning issues to propose and implement solutions

  2. Adapts to changes and provides feedback to new business processes, tools, and KPI’s

  3. Reviews MRP outputs daily to ensure all required actions are taken – planned orders, expedites, de-expedites, cancels, etc.

  4. Reviews scheduling KPI’s to ensure on time work order completion

  5. Limits backorders of all assigned parts while communicating backorder information to internal departments

  6. Analyzes forecasted demand compared to expected machine and labor capacity

  7. Identifies MRP demand changes and makes modifications to production schedule and capacity needs

  8. Reviews capacity planning KPI’s to ensure accuracy of work center, router, and master data

  9. Provides data-driven solutions to any scheduling, capacity, or timeline issues

  10. Updates planning parameters to maintain appropriate inventory levels and production efficiency

 

 

 

Education and Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent required

Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Business, Supply Chain, or related field with 2 years of relevant experience -OR- 6 years of relevant experience required.

Manufacturing/Forecasting/Sourcing experience preferred.

Medical Device experience preferred.

SAP experience preferred.

BI/BW or similar software experience preferred.

 

Knowledge and Skill Requirements/Specialized Courses and/or Training:

Basic understanding of materials management systems

 

 

 

Machine, Tools, and/or Equipment Skills:

Advanced MS Excel, other related software, and SAP knowledge preferred

 

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

 

Mathematical Skills

Ability to comprehend and apply mathematical principles to the degree required to perform the job based upon job requirements.

 

Language and Communication Skills:

Ability to comprehend and apply language skills to the degree required to perform the job based upon the job requirements listed above. Ability to verbally communicate ideas and issues effectively to other team members and management. Ability to write and record data and information as required by procedures.
