IES Commercial, Inc. - Commercial & Industrial Division, seeking Project Manager for the Utility Group.


Job Summary



  • Oversee construction projects for the Utility Group of IESCI including substations, transmission, or distribution projects.

  • Oversee total construction effort to ensure assigned projects are constructed in accordance with contract, plan and specifications.

  • Assist with the development and management of the project budget including financial tracking and owner billings.

  • Develop and maintain the master project schedule.

  • Coordinate construction efforts with the company superintendents as well as project assigned supervision.

  • Subcontract administration to ensure subcontractors are coordinated within the project plan including scope, schedule and budget adherence.

  • Manager all material procurement with the IESCI procurement department and ensure material is obtained to support the project schedule and budget.

  • Assist the site supervision with oversight of craft employees and subcontractors as required, monitoring productivity and efficient use of materials and equipment to ensure overall performance of the project meets company expectations.

  • Responsible for change management on assigned projects including estimating changes, provide owner notification, adherence to contract expectations, identify schedule impacts and negotiations as necessary.

  • Complies with and enforces all company and customer safety policies and procedures.

  • Travel required.


Qualifications



  • Minimum 8 years' recent experience in project management with 5 years in the high voltage utility industry preferred.

  • Knowledge of substations, transmission line work or distribution work and its tool, equipment and safety.

  • Proficient computer skills with experience with MS Office software to include Word, Excel, Project and PowerPoint.

  • Ability to communicate effectively with project stakeholders, field personnel, IESCI management, and customer interfaces.

  • Willingness to travel as needed.

  • Successfully pass pre-employment (post offer) MVR check when responsibilities require operating motor vehicles.

  • Successfully pass pre-employment (post offer) background check when applicable per customer contract requirement.
