QUALITY SPECIALIST

AMETEK consists of two operating groups:

Electronic Instruments – a leader in design and manufacture of advanced instruments for the aerospace, power, process and industrial markets.

This role is within the Instrumentation and Specialty Control’s Brookfield Engineering Business unit.

Viscometers, rheometers, texture analyzers and powder flow testers used in R&D, QC and inline applications for rheological fluid analysis, tension/compression analysis and powder flow analysis. Markets include food, cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, oil and gas, personal care products, adhesives, printing inks and coatings, paper coatings, chemicals, packaging, plastics, construction materials, and asphalt.

The position will assist the Quality Leadership with the coordination of various quality activities as assigned including Customer Complaints, Nonconformance Reports (MRRs), Internal Audits, Warranty Returns, Calibration Program and Material Review Board (MRB) activities.

ESSENTIAL ELEMENTS

Maintain current documentation in the controlled system; incorporating all changes to procedures due to new products, new processes, and/or new associate job design.

Write, edit and control procedures and work instructions/operational user’s manuals.

Follow-up on Corrective Actions relating to Customer Complaints and Nonconformance Reports (MRRs) and MRB.

Organize activities for Internal Audits including establishing audit schedule and assisting with audits

Review corrective actions and forward to Quality Leadership for approval.

Coordinate Calibration Program, monitoring and updating calibration data in ERP system, performing calibration on limited types of instrumentation.

Perform incoming inspection per written WI’s

Position Requirements:

Associate Degree and 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment or 8+ years’ experience in a similar role.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office products

Ensure that work area and equipment are maintained in a clean, safe, and orderly condition and established company policies and procedures are adhered to.

Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops.
