Job Description

Dewberry is currently seeking an Entry Level Landscape Architect to join our site/civil department in our Raleigh, North Carolina office. This position will support our project managers and Senior landscape Architect in our growing Land Planning and Landscape Architecture practice. As Dewberry is a nationally recognized engineering firm, our projects span both the Private and Public sectors in multiple states. Responsibilities

    Assist with research of local ordinances for site feasibility studies.
  • Assist with site analysis and historical property research.

  • Assist with conceptual designs and parking studies.

  • Prepare development plans to support re-zonings and/or entitlements.

  • Prepare detailed site construction drawings in a team environment.

  • Prepare renderings and visualizations under tight deadlines.

  • Assist with the preparation of erosion control plans and reports.

  • Assist with the preparation of stormwater plans and hydrology studies.

  • Prepare detailed landscape plans under the supervision of licensed professional.

  • Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to develop detailed designs for construction documents.

  • Assist with Construction Administration for projects.

Required Skills & Required Experience


  • Bachelor's degree in Landscape Architecture from an accredited program.

  • 0-3 years' experience.

  • Relevant internship experience required.

  • Experience working in AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suites (PhotoShop, InDesign, Illustrator, and After Effects), SketchUP, ArcGIS, Lumion, and Land F/X is required. Additional experience with Revit and Rhino is desired.

  • Strong freehand illustration and rendering skills.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Creative design skills for complex projects solutions.

  • Organized and ability to manage multiple priorities with tight deadlines.

  • Self-motivated to produce high quality work in a timely manner.

  • Ability to work in a team environment.

  • Portfolio or work samples will be required if considered for an interview.
