JOB FUNCTION / SUMMARY:

Provides Tier 3 security administration support and troubleshooting of business critical applications and systems. The person should be highly experienced and capable of leading project engagements, consulting business lines on the use of security technologies, evaluating and recommending new technical and administrative controls, leading an incident response team, and providing mentoring and guidance to junior team members. Additional duties may consist of monitoring and reacting to security alerts in a timely manner as directed by procedures.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Maintains corporate security standards, policies, procedures, and strategies.

  • Designs, develops, and supports various security technologies such as network access control, virus/worm protection, encryption, authentication, Linux and Windows OS security, security awareness training, firewall management, web application security.

  • Act as information security liaison and representative in projects and bank initiatives.

  • Provide network security, Active Directory management, remote access technologies, and internal/external vulnerability & risk assessments.

  • Monitor and maintain the SEIM (Security Event and Incident Monitoring) system. Investigate and remediate security incidents in accordance with company policies.

  • Ensures security of the company's web services initiatives. Supports the IBM DataPower XML firewall to provide authentication and encryption services to the Enterprise Service Bus.

  • Has in-depth, demonstrated, expert knowledge of information technologies and communication protocols such as HTTP(S), FTP, VPN, SSH, TLS/SSL, as well as emerging technologies.

  • Performs periodic vulnerability assessments and reports findings to management. Develops plan to remediate vulnerabilities in accordance with company security policies.

  • Provides mentoring, guidance and training to junior staff of information security analysts.

  • Provides self- progress reporting after each work day.

  • Adheres to bank policies and procedures while maintaining close contact with supervisors.

  • Trains with a supervisor to learn and gain experience about departmental duties and functions.

  • Performs other related job duties and special projects as assigned.

  • Required to comply will all applicable federal, state and local banking and industry related laws and regulations including but not limited to the bank Secrecy Act.

  • Responsible for organizational integrity and business ethics as it relates to this position, and communicating this commitment to any applicable subordinates.

  • Incumbent may have access to cash, customer accounts and/or sensitive and confidential information.



SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

None.

MINIMUM REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & KNOWLEDGE:


  • Associate's Degree (preferably in a Technology-related field)

  • Bachelor's Degree (preferably in a Technology-related field) from a four-year college or university or equivalent experience

  • Minimum 4-6 years of experience in information security (prior banking experience highly preferred)

  • Information Security Industry certification GIAC certification and Certified Information System Security Professional (CISSP).

  • Ability to lift/move/carry approximately 30 pounds if required to perform the essential job functions.
