Job Description:

The Quality Control Specialist position is responsible for checking that print quality is adequate as compared to the samples provided. Also making sure the dollar amount of checks are in balance to the check Volume release. This individual will made sure Micr line and perforations are where they need to be before the work order is created and send to the Mail Center. This person will validate that the number of pages looks reasonable compared to the print provided and put the appropriate numbers on the handwork, Mail Center and the Overnight work order for inserting and processing through to mailing.

 RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Maintaining set quality standards and company SOP’s

  • Read and understand work order completely. Visually inspect all work order materials against job specifications and report all problems to supervisor.

  • Comply with all company and postal service requirements

  • Handling job related materials

  • Communicating effectively with all appropriate personnel

  • Maintaining quantity counts

  • Additional responsibilities as required

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:


  • This position requires long periods of standing and walking

  • Bending and lifting are required

  • Ability to lift up to 25lbs

  • Computer knowledge is required

  • Ability to balance transactions

  • Fast-paced, reliable, and detail oriented

  • Ability to work independently and multi-task

QUALIFICATIONS


  • High School Diploma or GED

  • Basic understanding of USPS Regulations

  • Results driven with high attention to detail

  • Must be able to lift 30 pounds.

  • Must be able to sit or stand on your feet all day and be able to bend, turn, twist and lift.

  • Must be able to understand English and follow operator instructions.

  • Must be able to communicate in English.
