Your Responsibilities

As a Supply Management Continuous Improvement Specialist for Harvester Workslocated in East Moline, IL you will....

• Support the production of combines & front-end equipment at the Harvester Works through rigorously managing change that relates to:
  
  
  • The development & implementation of cost reduction- integrating suppliers early in the process to optimize design and cost
  • Working between Engineering and suppliers on product specification, making recommendations to ensure a quality product at the lowest total cost; supports the Engineering Change Management (ECM) process so design changes and product improvements are implemented in a timely and cost-effective manner
  • Leading the negotiation of supply agreements with specific suppliers resulting in cost models, an implementation strategy and a documented agreement, ensuring the Company meets its overall goals for cost, quality, continuity of supply, etc.
  • Leading the development or aligning implementation of sourcing strategies - coordinate and lead efforts to address chronic supplier performance issues

What Skills You Need

• 4 or more years of experience in interpersonal communications, influencing without authority, negotiation, and conflict resolution
• 4 or more years of experience in specific areas of Supply Management and/or Operations such as: supplier integration, strategic supply management, supplier development, module supply management, material flow, manufacturing engineering, etc.
• 3 or more years of experience supporting Order Fulfillment Process
• 2 or more years of project management experience
• Ability and willingness to travel up to 25%

What Makes You Stand Out

• 2 or more years of supporting make-versus-buy analysis
• Technical background in either design or manufacturing engineering

Education

Ideally, you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:

• Degree in a Supply Management, Business/Management, or Engineering/Technology discipline or equivalent experience.
