Job Description:

J.P. Morgan Chase is seeking experienced and talented candidates for a Central Supervisory Director position in our and Wealth Management Supervisory group. The WM Supervisory team is responsible for the supervision of investment sales activities in Chase Wealth Management, JPMorgan Securities and JPMorgan Private Bank. The position will require strong understanding of the Wealth Management business and the ability to lead, drive and advise on large scale and complex projects with longer term life cycles. The candidate must also possess a strong technical acumen, including an understanding of a product owner's responsibility in the technology development lifecycle (planning, prioritization, development/communication of requirements, testing, and delivery) machine learning concepts, and the ability to make decisions/recommendations based on data analysis. The candidate will lead efforts in the development, implementation, and operation of the Supervisory framework. This role requires flexibility and comfort with ambiguity given the rapid pace of change and various constituencies involved.

Job Roles & Responsibilities:


  • Lead, inspire, and think like an owner. Must be able to make critical decisions and lead peers to successful outcomes
  • Develop and maintain relationships with partners across Wealth Management, including Field, Product, Technology, Risk, Control, Compliance, and Legal
  • Understand and define strategy, operating model, and roadmap to achieve vision and business objectives. Owns and drives a program roadmap to meet the goals of the department.
  • Partner closely with Technology (and other dependent resources) in communicating the business needs, system release prioritization, defining business requirements, performing user acceptance testing, system release checkouts, and tracking/monitoring progress throughout the project life cycle
  • Collect, structure, and analyze data to support decision making and recommendations
  • Customer-Obsessed. Identify areas of need and opportunities by analyzing data, key performance metrics, industry trends, and customer/stakeholder feedback.
  • Develop and contribute concise communication materials for senior management
  • Ensure change management processes are followed in accordance with firm guidelines
  • Other responsibilities as necessary

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of prior experience in financial services, preferably with experience in Wealth Management, asset management, or a closely related business leading strategic or transformational change.
  • Strong knowledge of investment products including advisory accounts, mutual funds, annuities, equities, fixed income, hedge funds, structured products, and private equity
  • Working knowledge of investment industry regulations and regulatory bodies (FINRA, SEC, OCC)
  • Technical Acumen - Strong Excel skills, root cause analysis, data structure, SQL and or Alteryx experience.
  • Familiarity with data analysis and reporting visualization tools (i.e. Tableau/Qlik)
  • Experience building a strategy and roadmap across a large, diverse, global organization
  • Extensive experience managing product delivery across multiple workstreams with varying timelines, priorities, and complexities.
  • Ability to prioritize projects, say 'no' when required, and ensure our organization is on track to execute and deliver strategic change that meets our goals.
  • Influence peers with diverse points of view and build consensus
  • Excellent Leadership skills
  • Ability to articulate complex technical concepts to senior audiences with poise and confidence
  • Business and technology consulting experience preferred
  • Outstanding ability to synthesize insights and communicate effectively and confidently (both oral and written), and work well in cross-functional teams
  • A track record demonstrating a high level of personal initiative, setting and achieving challenging goals, and demonstrating entrepreneurial leadership
  • Openness to an environment of active developmental feedback from peers and managers
  • Excellent and efficient skills using MS Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint, SharePoint
  • In-depth analytical skills
  • Series 7, 24 9 and 10 licenses preferred, but not required
