Job Description

As a DevSecOps engineer, you will provide leadership in the DevSecOps areas of Vulnerability Scanning, Certificate Management, Password Policy Management, Data Analysis of security monitoring outputs, coordination of Remediation Patching, and other daily Security and Compliance efforts.

Function

• Lead the Security division within the Platform Operations team including security tooling, best practices, standards, cloud account management, cloud configuration management, cloud identity and access management, cloud networking and automation


• Contribute to the development, improvement and operational management of Security Operations, Monitoring and Incident Response practices, processes and solutions


• Support selection, implementation and modernization of security scanning and management toolset across the organization


• Partner with multiple departments including Software Engineering, Infrastructure, Data Governance, Information Security and Architecture to mature the security focus and practices of the organization


• Overall understanding of Security Domains, Compliance Requirements, and Risk Management Practices

• BS/MS Computer Science degree or equivalent experience


• 7+ years of software engineering or security operations.


• Experience using best in class security systems


• Experience with vulnerability scanners and remediation.


• Demonstrated ability to use cloud services (AWS or Azure).


• Working knowledge of source version control, build/release tools and methodologies, and CI/CD pipelines


• Working knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle and the critical role of security practices and automation


• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with all levels of management and team members.
