Full-time Insurance Specialist
-- Monday through Friday --

Infinity Rehab is looking for a full-time Insurance Specialist to verify outpatient insurance and provide Accounts Receivable support.

RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Insurance verification (for rehab agency facilities and clinics)
* Verify benefits with Medicare and verify eligibility with commercial and HMO insurances (via phone and internet)
* Establish and maintain accounting practices to ensure accurate and reliable data (for Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, General Ledger)
* Set up patient accounts (in billing software program)
* Contact insurance companies for pre-authorization

2. Accounts Receivable support
* Collections as needed (private pay and insurance)


3. General Office
* File, fax, mail
* Attend team meetings and company meetings as requested
* Other duties as needed


4. Assist With
* Preparation of financial related materials as needed
* Backup entering charges/billing into billing software program.
* Other duties as directed

REQUIREMENTS
* Strong experience in insurance verification
* High school degree or equivalent, a two-year business degree (four-year preferred), or 3-5 years of relevant experience
* Understanding of bookkeeping/accounting procedures
* Accounts Receivable and collections experience
* Ability to work well as part of a team
* Attention to detail and accuracy
* Ability to exercise independent judgment in completing assignments
* Good command of the Microsoft Office suite
