Where You'll Work

The Financial Analysis Intern will work as part of the commission or PMF team within the Pharmacy Benefits Management (PBM) segment of the business. During the internship, you will have the ability to participate in a wide range of opportunities including research, data analysis, commission & PMF calculations, forecasting, and in assisting the team with key projects for process improvements.

What you'll do:

Cigna's 10 - 12 week summer internship program is designed to help further develop your skills and give you experience working in a dynamic environment. This opportunity will give you the chance to be a part of the following offerings:

"Real work" You will be assigned project in which you may be able to support:

• Participate in data research and analysis for improvements to the commission & PMF payment processes


• Assist with opportunities to improve functionality within system applications


• Assist with research, setup and validation of commissions & PMF payments in system applications


• Assist with enhancements to Excel based macros aligned to various commission or PMF focused processes

Community: Build relationships with our cross functional partners, team members and other interns.

Leader Speaker Series: You and your fellow interns will be exposed to a variety of sessions and presentations given by members of the Cigna community.

Compensation: Earn a highly competitive hourly rate in addition to gaining valuable work experience.

What you need to do the job:

• Ideal candidates will be progressing toward a bachelor's degree, and have completed at least 3 years in desired majors including, but are not limited to, Data Analytics, Accounting, Finance and other related fields.


• 3.0 GPA or higher is preferred


• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, specifically in Excel is preferred


• Previous experience or exposure to SQL/PostgreSQL, Excel VBA, and SharePoint is a plus


• Proficiency in problem solving and analytical thinking


• Excellent verbal and written communication skills


• Strong business aptitude and teamwork skills; ability to work cross functionally

Additional Information:

• 
  Location:Bloomington, MN or St. Louis, MO. This role can work from home; however, geographical preference is for the incumbent to be located in Bloomington, MN or St. Louis, MO.The internship is paid and housing assistance is not offered.


• 
  Work Authorization: One goal of this internship program is to prepare and identify qualified candidates for roles with Cigna post-graduation. Therefore, this temporary internship is open only to individuals who are eligible for employment in the United States and who would not require visa sponsorship now or in the future.


• 
  Schedule: You must be available to work a 40-hour work week for 10-12 weeks in summer 2022, beginning May 23, 2022.

This position is not eligible to be performed in Colorado.
