As Cornell University's online learning unit, eCornell delivers online professional certificate courses to individuals and organizations around the world. Courses are personally developed by Cornell faculty with expertise in a wide range of topics, including data analytics, management, marketing, human resources, leadership, and STEM. Students learn in an interactive, small cohort format to gain skills they can immediately apply in their organizations, while earning a professional certificate from Cornell University. eCornell has offered online learning courses and certificate programs for 15 years to over 130,000 students at more than 2,000 companies.

An Enrollment Support Representative works with leadership and fellow team members to enroll Students into the many different programs eCornell provides! They'll master all the key basics of the new student qualification/enrollment process and ensure achievement of all performance objectives. This is a metrics driven position.

What you will do:


  • Master the basics of the IMPACT sales process using it to establish relationships and guide potential students.


  • Master all of the basics of our systems including but not limited to: Salesforce, Destiny, TextUs, Calendly, Drift, Facebook.


  • Utilize the guidelines provided to gain an understanding and implement best practices around leading and lagging indicators regardless of the method of communication tool used.


  • Learn to be comfortable in communicating with prospective students in a variety of different ways. This may include calling potential students via phone, participating in info sessions, responding to students on Facebook or LinkedIn, or working with students on our chat platform.


  • Foster an environment of cooperation and teamwork amongst team members.


  • Understand what the team WIG's are for the fiscal year and how this role supports those WIG's.


  • Partner with other departments as necessary to finalize the enrollment process, including the Accounting, Student Services and Helpdesk teams.


  • Utilizing LinkedIn to assist with IMPACT process, help differentiate eCornell as thought leaders.


What you will need:


  • High School Diploma and 2 to 4 years relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.


  • Proven customer service, enrollment, sales or related experience required.


  • Must be detail-oriented and organized.


  • Must be focused on achieving optimum levels of service while maintaining high ethical standards.


  • Must be able to provide excellent customer service to both internal and external customers.


  • Must have strong computer skills (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).


  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.


What we'd prefer:


  • Knowledge of Salesforce or other Customer Relationship Management software (CRM).


  • Prior success working in a goal and metrics driven environment.


  • Direct enrollment, admissions, or sales in eLearning services.


  • Knowledge of the higher education market.


  • Customer service experience.
