Founded in 1887, Cornell Law School is a top-tier law school, currently ranked 13th by U.S. News & World Report. We offer a 3-year JD program for about 200 students per class, a one-year LLM program for over 100 students from countries throughout the world, and a doctoral (JSD) program for about 2-3 new students per year. About the Institute:


The Bank of America Institute for Women's Entrepreneurship at Cornell is a collaboration between Bank of America and Cornell University to deliver an online learning program that provides women entrepreneurs with the skills, knowledge and resources to build, manage, and scale successful businesses. The online program is offered via the eCornell platform at no cost to participants and the curriculum was created by professors from Cornell. The current mission of the Institute is to bring over 50,000 students through the program over the next several years.

The Institute is a lean organization that has a dotted line relationship with eCornell (which hosts the online certificate program). The Institute is responsible for maintaining student engagement, monitoring student performance and feedback, improving course materials to flex to changing student needs and to think strategically about how to best support the women in the program (85+% of whom identify as women of color) as they continue their education, build their networks and launch their businesses after completing the 12-week program.

What you will do:

Reporting to the Program Director, the Program Coordinator for the Bank of America Institute for Women's Entrepreneurship focuses on course operations, special programs, communications, and engagement with program facilitators, students, and applicants. Duties include the following:


  • Tracking performance of the 30+ eCornell facilitators assigned to the Women's Entrepreneurship certificate program.


  • Interfacing with eCornell Course Operations, Helpdesk and Student Success Services to develop strategies to reduce student incomplete rates, increase certificate completion and standardize facilitator messaging/quality across the program.


  • Engaging with the 50,000+ students in the program.


  • Coordinate bi-weekly reminder emails to students to alert them to upcoming course work.


  • Developing engagement strategies for students and program graduates, including networking events.


  • Creating quarterly "brag books" to distribute to Cornell and Bank of America personnel highlighting student achievements.


This is grant funded position for a one-year term at 75% of full-time. Reappointment for an additional one-year term may be possible based on performance and funding availability. This position maybe available for remote work. Occasional travel (a few times a year) may be required.

What we need:


  • Bachelor's degree and 2-4 years of experience, or equivalent combination.


  • Familiarity with entrepreneurship and/or entrepreneurship education.


  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, along with organizational, planning, time management, interpersonal skills.


  • Ability to work independently and autonomously without direct supervision.


  • Resolve problems, using sound judgment, and relay information appropriately and consistently.


  • Ability to interact well with diverse populations, and build professional and trusted relationships with colleagues at the University, students enrolled in the program, and Bank of America personnel.


We'd prefer experience with website posting (WordPress), digital media capture and storage (Kaltura), social media platforms (Facebook and LinkedIn) and online education platforms (Canvas).
