As an Application Development Sr. Specialist, you will act as principal designer for major systems and subsystems (SAP ABAP, FICO, FSCD and Oracle Database Management) utilizing a thorough understanding of available technology, tools and existing designs. You will also work closely with client and IT management to identify application development solutions, new or modified programs, reuse of existing code through use of program development software alternatives, or integration of purchased solutions or a combination of the available alternatives. This role will be a "Techno/Functional" position meaning be able to develop and understand the functional side from a business standpoint.

Responsibilities

• Help Design/Develop/enhance programs in SAP using ABAP skills
  
  


• Troubleshoot SAP R/3 production issues.
  
  


• Help plan and implement R/3 system upgrades.
  
  


• Support archiving within application.
  
  


• Coach other SAP project personnel to insure functionality is developed in a way that complies with business requirements and established methodologies.
  
  


• Strong customer focus and management of business partner expectations: ability to establish and maintain a high level of user trust and confidence in the IT group's knowledge.
  
  


• Ability to weigh various suggested technical solutions against business needs and choose the most effective solution.
  
  


• Other duties as assigned
  
  

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or Related Discipline or Equivalent experience.
  
  

• 6+ years experience in ABAP Programming and FI Modules.
  
  


• Experience with ECC 6.0 or later releases.
  
  


• Proven accounting, finance, technical and leadership skills.
  
  


• Ability to convey technical ideas in clear manner to non-technical users.
  
  


• Strong analytical skills
  
  


• Prefer prior healthcare or insurance experience.
  
  


• Prefer prior experience with SAP Financial Services vertical modules (FSCD/FICA).
  
  


• Experience in developing/programming and supporting SAP systems.
  
  


• Strong interpersonal skills.
  
  


• Strong analytical, problem solving and conceptual skills.
  
  

Education

• Bachelors degree in Finance, MIS or related field and 6 years of relevant work experience or equivalent training, education and/or experience.
  
  

This role is WAH/Flex which allows most work to be performed at home. Employees must be fully vaccinated if they choose to come onsite.

This position is not eligible to be performed in Colorado.
