ABOUT THE ROLE:
The Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Commercial Analysis (CA) team is responsible for the design, development, and facilitation of consistent key performance analysis across Global Distribution (GD). The newly formed team is looking for an Associate Analyst to deliver and implement commercially relevant and strategically aligned KPI’s and business case support, while investing in the rise of the CA team, collaborating across FP&A, and implementing best practices.
The Associate Analyst will be responsible for completing business analysis, business case evaluation, visual storytelling, data ingestion, quality reviews, and governance of the CA workflow. Will utilize collaboration and organization skills to deliver timely results to GD.
A successful candidate will possess a mix of business analysis and problem-solving skills, governance discipline, visual and oral storytelling skills, and knowledge and interest in asset management and global trends. The Associate Analyst will work independently to meet deadlines, receiving minimal guidance and holding self-accountability to meet and exceed objectives. Requires a “no task too big or too small” and team-player mentality.
ROLE SUMMARY
Completes financial analytics and reporting in support of the business. Responsible for the accuracy and completeness of own work.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Conducts historical analyses to support end-to-end processes within Finance, which may include the support for the period close, analyses of performance such as forecasted period revenue and expense against actual results, and metrics and scorecard reporting. Identifies financial trends.
Compiles and updates short-term and long-range forecasts using multiple inputs and assumptions.
Performs trend analysis on financial data and operating performance. Identifies and highlights key trends.
Compiles financial information and conducts analysis for input into various periodic financial reports.
TYPICAL QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration, AND 0+ years of total relevant work experience
PREFERRED
Forecasting, planning, and analysis skills
Confidence and ability to interact with senior leadership
Financial, quantitative, and storytelling skills
Working knowledge and/or experience of reporting languages (i.e., SQL)
Working knowledge and/or experience with business intelligence tools (i.e., Tableau)
Advanced PowerPoint and Excel skills
Advanced oral and written communication skills
Advanced analytical skills with application to effective problem solving
Advanced individual execution skills, critical thinking abilities and team orientation
Hands-on problem-solving skills
Knowledge and interest of broader asset management and global trends is preferred
REGIONAL REQUIREMENTS: No FINRA licenses are required for this role.
