Role Summary
The Sr. Data Analyst will expand the reach and role of data among leaders and managers at T. Rowe Price. They will empower HR leaders to integrate data into their daily workflow and provide guidance and expertise on how data is used to improve our people strategy.
The role will play a pivotal role in guiding the organization to think through how to better attract, retain, develop, and engage talent as the organization continues to grow. Knowledge of HR data, along with deep business context, will enable the Sr. Data Analyst to shape and deliver deep insights guiding the HR organization and Business Leaders to make thoughtful people decisions.
Responsibilities
Translate talent and business issues into questions and hypotheses that can be tested with data
Attend HR Business Partner meetings, consulting and advocating for the use of data and ensures that it is well-incorporated
Analyze trends to ensure that Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion goals are met throughout the company
Respond to data and dashboarding requests related to people data with minimal guidance
Handle ad hoc data and analytics requests, while addressing long-term needs and driving insights using existing dashboards, HRIS (Workday) data, and leveraging other HR data solutions
Effectively communicate with cross-functional partners and internal teams to deliver solutions in a timely fashion
Proactively manage stakeholder expectations, manage escalations and resolve issues in a timely manner
Collaborate with HR stakeholders to scope analytics needs and develop best practice recommendations
Support analysis & HR data requests from across the HR teams including our HRBP Leadership, HR COEs and HR Shared Services
Ensure standardization of data definitions, calculations, data access, and processes to ensure ongoing conformance to standards and privacy requirements
Utilize working and conceptual knowledge in functional areas of the businesses the consultant supports
Typical Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of education and relevant experience and 5+ years of total relevant work experience
3+ years of experience working with data
Intermediate to advanced excel skills
Ability to leverage data-driven insights and communicate a story to inform business decisions
Experience with data management, specifically with validating and auditing data and reports from multiple systems
Experience manipulating large data sets
Experience with SQL or other languages for querying data
Comfortable working in a fast-paced and demanding environment
Excellent communications skills and solutions; capable of interacting at all levels of the business; client service-oriented
Demonstrated experience with judgment and discretion when dealing with highly sensitive HR data and business issues
Experience having effective conversations with clients about their support needs and requirements, managing the intake process, and asking the right questions to scope and solve the requests
Preferred Qualification
3+ years of using exceptional HR Analytics skills to consultant to business leaders and influence organizational decisions
3+ years of experience managing and analyzing structured and unstructured data
Experience with Workday
Experience with Qlik for data visualization
Experience using Python, R, SQL, or equivalent to write scalable code, experience with data visualization tools a bonus
Experience working with HR/organizational people data (e.g., headcount, turnover, recruiting metrics, and other people analytics)
FINRA licenses are not required and will not be supported for this role.
