Overview
As an Infrastructure Operations Senior Manager within the Technology Operations Applications team, you will have an opportunity to work in a fast-paced, dynamic, and constantly evolving environment. In this role you will lead teams, including other managers, that are responsible for solving production issues, monitoring production systems, and implementing improvements, automation of manual processes and engaging in new project development.
In this role you engage with individuals and teams that will configure, install, administer, operate, upgrade, monitor, sustain and support existing networks, hardware, software, processes, applications, systems, databases, desktops, peripherals, and other related infrastructure. You will be responsible for Service Delivery of the Corporate, CFO, and Legal applications across all technology domains and all consumers, including execution of all backup, recovery, disaster recovery, and related capabilities.
The responsibilities include oversight of one or more teams focused on a portfolio of applications undergoing a strategic evolution. Key to this role will be building a strong partnership with the Engineering leads responsible for the strategy and ensuring that all systems are deployed to and operate in an efficient and supportable manner. In addition to in-house developed cloud applications, there will also be a significant portfolio of Vendor SAAS applications requiring oversight of external Service Delivery.

Operates globally with local on-call and international teams to ensure 24x7 delivery of the Technology Operations function

Makes decisions guided by department and business unit strategy and objectives with results assessed with a near-term and long-term perspective
Actively initiates actions to address areas at risk, vulnerabilities, alignment to practices and policies

Responsible for correcting technology service disruptions, identifying root causes, and implementing preventative measures
Oversees processes to enable efficient development and deployments of applications
Identifies non-obvious relationships and anomalies often overlooked by others
Demonstrates deep understanding of essential formulas and algorithms
Capable of dissecting a problem into manageable parts
Provides timely feedback and mentoring to individuals and teams using data to reinforce learning
Effectively uses delegation as means to expand capabilities and improve productivity
Is accountable for the development of associates in your department
Responsible for recruitment and performance management of associates
Able to overcome differences of opinion and drive team alignment around a specific goal or solution
Ability to handle critical on-call responsibilities during significant system outages or incidents
Business knowledge
Possesses deep understanding of the industry and business units in order to be able to effectively navigate the organization and effectively translate technical issues into business impacts
Requirements
Typically has 8+ years of relevant experience
Possesses expertise in core areas of responsibility while maintaining a solid understanding of the broader technology portfolio
Identifies impacts across the entire portfolio and coordinates across senior levels to handle dependencies and address contending priorities
Stays abreast of industry trends and technologies
Provides strategic vision of goals and objectives to the team
Oversees assigned portfolio of activities and initiatives that span the enterprise to deliver technology outcomes as expected despite high levels of change and variables in the environment
Communicates technical ideas, issues and concepts to non-technical audiences at peer levels within their assigned business units in the organization
