Position Description/Overview:


The Application Developer position is tasked with creating new applications as well as maintaining existing applications. Our developers are full-stack developers, working in a highly collaborative environment.


Duties and Responsibilities:


The role will consist of the following:




  • 75% Creating, maintaining, and updating applications that serve our company and our clients. A key component of SPH is our commitment to secure application development, so much of our application development emphasis is on maintain secure coding practices.




  • 15% Presenting design proposals, modeling databases, documenting deployments, attending team meetings, and collaborating with other developers.




  • 10% Creating and modifying documentation and administrative audit trails to appropriately document the development work that has been done by the employee.




Additional duties include:




  • Interacting with both external and internal teams




  • Finding creative solutions to challenges that arise




  • Leading projects while keeping business stakeholders and development management updated on the project's progress




Qualifications:




  • 3+ years of experience in developing MVC .Net applications using Microsoft development tools




  • 3+ years C# coding




  • 3+ years SQL Server scripting




  • 3+ years of experience creating / modifying and publishing Restful Web Services




  • 3+ Experience in creating solutions based on user requirements




  • TFS / DevOps Experience preferred




  • Experience in modernizing legacy technology preferred




  • Experience working with teams both local and remote on large scale projects preferred




  • Experience with Kendo and Telerik controls is preferred




Minimum Education


Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
