The Solution Architect is part of Digital Engineering team enabling agility within Dine Brands by ensuring a connected and informed enterprise and ecosystem of guest-facing technology. They develop and maintain current and target state architectures for Dine's websites, mobile apps, and related products to the level of detail appropriate to making them fit-for-purpose and consistent with standards set by the Enterprise Architecture group.

Business Unit Summary

The Digital Technology Solution Architect reports to the Senior Manager and will play an important role in crafting a technology roadmap and ensures the right Sitecore solutions and digital strategy in order to meet business needs that enable Dine to sustain and grow. A Sitecore Solution Architect is responsible for the leadership, planning, project coordination and management of assigned client Sitecore engagements.



Key Responsibilities



  • Develops and maintains current and target state architectures at the product level across Business, Information, Application and Technology domains consistent with established standards and to the level of detail necessary for ensuring they are fit-for-purpose

  • Deep understanding of Sitecore best practices.

  • Collaborate with other Sitecore Front-End and Back-End developers to create and implement innovative high-quality solutions

  • Maintain broad knowledge of IT industry best practices, technologies, architectural patterns and emerging technologies

  • Maintains a thorough understanding of Dine Brands current business environment and how their product/solution supports and enables it

  • Identify architectural risks and propose alternatives and solutions

  • Follows established methodology to plan, design, and support development and delivery of projects/products

  • Provides support to product teams to ensure the development of quality deliverables are properly planned and delivered

  • Strong knowledge of cloud foundation principles and standards.

  • Ability to paint a technology vision and communicate its value to leadership and teammates; experience in communicating complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders

  • Communicate/capture solutions using architectural tools such as Sequence diagram, Flow chart, uml, etc.

  • Contribute thought leadership, perform systems analysis, architecture, design, configuration, testing, debugging, and write documentation

  • Design and implement leading-edge solutions for the business

  • Support Agile teams with planning, scoping and creation of technical solutions for new product capabilities, through to continuous delivery to production.


Experience & Qualifications



  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, Engineering, technology or related discipline, or equivalent professional experience

  • 8 years experience on Sitecore platform

  • Recent Sitecore developer certification with exposure to v8.x, 9.x and 10.x

  • Experience with Sitecore upgrade

  • Strong knowledge of MongoDB and Solr.

  • Familiarity with enterprise architecture patterns

  • Familiarity with SOLID principles and secure coding practices

  • Understanding of web accessibility guidelines, web analytics, and SEO

  • Experience with Agile development processes

  • Understanding of cloud-native architecture, API-first development, and microservices

  • Experience working with a Headless CMS

  • Strong communication skills; ability to successfully communicate with technical and non-technical personnel

Technical Skills



  • Full stack system .NET architecture experience

  • Full Stack Sitecore 8.x, 9.x and 10.x - from data template to TDS and cloud deployment

  • Deep understanding of .net 4.5+ and MVC

  • Deep understanding of micro and web services, cloud native services, Lambda functions, and REST api's

  • Understanding of Solr, Lucene or other search/indexing technologies

  • Basic Understanding of .net Core MVC a plus

  • Application Performance Management

  • DevOps

  • Application Security and OWASP

  • AWS, Google Cloud or Azure Cloud and SaaS knowledge

  • Knowledge of integration platform such as Mulesoft

  • Experience working within an Agile methodology


Experience in Microsoft Visual Studio, with team services, integration and GIT
