Reporting into a Director of Marketing, Food + Beverage, the Marketing Manager plays a critical role in guiding, developing, and packaging innovative opportunities and products to Meredith's premium advertisers.

The ideal candidate will be a dynamic, collaborative, self-motivated marketer with experience in delivering creative solutions and best-in-class ideas that connect with consumers, deliver results for advertisers, and drive revenue. This individual will have their finger on the pulse of consumer and marketplace trends shaping the Food and Beverage business and demonstrate the ability to identify and utilize consumer insights to create a narrative that clearly articulates Meredith's strengths and competitive advantage.

The Marketing Manager, Food + Beverage will leverage the full scope of Meredith's portfolio of assets to generate revenue; as such, this role will work closely with Editorial, Video, Data, Brand, Custom Content, Product, and Creative teams to develop and execute on new advertiser opportunities.

Be part of a team who turns Slack and Zoom into trivia competitions, knowledge-sharing town halls, and storytelling gymnasiums (through one-on-one feedback and on-the-job training). We're looking for someone ready to take their skills to a level deeper through hands-on experience.

Responsibilities:


  • Creates proposals around our print, digital, video, and related brand assets

  • Keeps abreast of marketplace trends and audience insights to help inform program creation and to help support the Meredith brand story

  • Attend client briefings and sales presentations to pitch integrated marketing solutions/ideas

Requirements:


  • Bachelor's degree

  • Self-starting, collaborative, good-natured, hard-working, and hands-on marketing professional with minimum of 3-5 years of ad sales marketing / promotion (digital and/or cross-platform marketing). Experience ideating and creating advertising programs required.

  • Exceptional creative writing and storytelling skills with an ability to execute visually impactful presentations

  • Familiarity with the marketing needs and challenges of consumer products

  • Resourcefully identifying and using insights to connect with consumers

  • Strong communication as well as presentation skills; must be able to pitch ideas and onboard others toward a common strategic goal

  • Outstanding creative and collaboration skills, with an understanding of how to conduct brainstorms

Effective organizational skills with an ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
