The role ofAVP, Amazon Mediawill take on a primary role in the oversight and management of key strategic initiatives related to Amazon media, data sharing agreements, data activation, and measurement of the same. This individual will support brands and Amazon Acceleration team to develop and manage L'OrealUSA Amazon media strategy. As the AVP of Amazon Media, you will need to be well versed in driving business growth through Amazon advertising Search and Amazon advertising display offerings.


The role requires the ability to strategize and execute best in class digital programs to meet our brand objectives and business needs. This includes taking initiative, working cross-functionally, and executing programs from start to finish with brand partners.This individual will collaborate with the Commercial Head of Amazon to ensure media strategy lines up to the business sales goals, ROI, and New to Brand objectives. In this role, the individual will need the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and manage internal and external resources to bring projects to life, while maintaining a results-driven approach.


This individual will partner with LUSA Amazon teams to implement process and governance around planning and execution and work with outside agencies and internal marketing teams to manage, develop and implement media programs to maximize sales of specific product lines within the Amazon ecosystem.


They will be responsible for upskilling the organization on Amazon media best practices and innovations and provide measurement framework and learning agenda around media, managing marketing campaign performance and continuously analyze data to improve outcomes.


Job Requirements:


  • An entrepreneurial mindset and passion for D2C adverting, media and focus on consumer-centricity

  • Strong understanding and expertise with the Amazon Advertising ecosystem - programmatic, search and display with a proven track record of driving growth with Amazon and/or retail media partners

  • Ability to develop and implement media best practices to take full advantage of the Amazon ecosystem

  • A working knowledge of all media channels and the prowess to remain diligent on market trends and marketplace conditions

  • Demonstrated understanding of strategic planning and program implementation in the digital space

  • Will be charged with building, leading and scaling a media execution team

  • Ability to partner with and guide Amazon Leads / brand teams to develop investment guidelines and brainstorm test and learn opportunities to deliver on Amazon goals

  • Internally upskill & educate marketing and sales teams on the fundamentals of the Amazon ecosystem, media planning and advise on briefings and media strategy to aid the group

  • Past experience creating transformational media strategies that drive measurable business results

  • Interpersonal savvy especially when dealing with internal stakeholders and external media partners to upskill and educate team(s)

  • Ability to collaborate effectively and respectfully cross functionally and create clarity within an emerging capability that touches multiple teams

  • Demonstrated strategic media planning and management skills


Job Requirements:


  • Bachelor's Degree

  • 7-9 years experience with a retailer, traditional agency or media-focused role - minimum of 2 years of Amazon experience is required

  • Strong understanding of the Amazon platform and hands on experience in setting up, managing and optimizing Amazon media campaigns including Search and Display (including budget management and campaign optimization)

  • Familiarity with Kenshoo and like products is a plus

  • Experience developing creative briefs and project briefs for agencies and creative teams

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to provide optimization recommendations

  • Strong leadership skills to manage people

  • Strong project management skills, including experience managing multiple projects simultaneously and prioritizing based on business need and estimated impact.

  • Effectively communicate (both verbally and written) with multiple groups, including presentations

  • Ability to effectively present to and persuade an individual or group or people.

  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities with attention to detail.

  • Self-motivated, results and solution oriented, strategic thinker

  • Strong time management and prioritization skills

  • Advanced PC skills (MS Word, Microsoft Outlook Calendar & E-Mail, Excel, Power Point)
