Job Description:

Position Summary:

The Instructor delivers Initial and Recurrent Training Classes to new and existing Crewmembers in all Customer Support departments.

EssentialResponsibilities


  • Deliver Initial Training Classes using an assortment of adult learning stylesfollowing Instructor Guides

  • Deliver ContinuousTraining Classes to Crewmembersfrom all operational departmentsfollowing Instructor Guides

  • Coach and provide feedback to studentsand faculty

  • Implement classroom guidelines including attendance, assignments, and tests

  • Release students from training who fall below minimum performance standards

  • Other duties asassigned

Minimum Experience andQualifications


  • High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) Diploma

  • Three (3) yearscall center experience.

  • Knowledge of technology used in the classroom

  • Ability to conduct presentations in front of large groups

  • Proficient with the Microsoft Office suite, Outlook, SharePoint and Explorer

  • Strong customer service and problem solving skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Excellent organizational skills, time management skills and interpersonal skills

  • Highly motivated self-starter with the ability to multi-task

  • Pass a ten (10) year background check and pre-employment drug test

  • Legally eligible to work in the country in which the position is located

Preferred Experience and Qualifications


  • One (1) yearInstructor experience

  • One (1) year of Sabre Interact experience

  • Certified to deliver at least one Customer Support training curriculum

  • Bachelor's degree in adult education theory/education/or similar field

  • Experience as a JetBlue Crewmember inCustomer Support (Reservations, TrueBlue, Groups,Getaways,Crew Support,etc.)

  • Previous airline industry experience

  • Strong organizational, analytical, coordination and follow-through skills

Crewmember Expectations:


  • Regular attendance and punctuality

  • Potential need to work be available to respond on short-notice

  • Well-groomedand able to maintain a professional appearance

  • When working or traveling on JetBlue flights, and if time permits, all capable crewmembers are asked to assist with light cleaning of the aircraft

  • Must be an appropriate organizational fit for the JetBlue culture, that is, exhibit the JetBlue values of Safety, Caring, Integrity,Passion andFun

  • Promote JetBlue's #1 value of safety as a Safety Ambassador, supporting JetBlue's Safety Management System (SMS) components, Safety Policy and behavioral standards

  • Identify safety concerns, issues, incidents or hazards that should be reported and report them whenever possible and by any means necessary including JetBlue's confidential reporting systems (Aviation Safety Action Program (ASAP) or Safety Action Report(SAR))

Work Environment:


  • Normal Office Environment

  • Available to travel for extended periods of time to deliver training at offsite locations

  • Available to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends and holidays

Physical Effort:


  • Light physical effort required by handling objects up to 20 pounds occasionally and/or up to 10 pounds frequently. (Light).
