Job Description:

SUMMARY:

Perform duties to assist players with payouts. Exercise good judgment in performing routine maintenance on slot machines.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Complete understanding of how/why complementaries are used as a casino tool.
  • Enforce company policies and procedures.
  • Establish and maintain player base through personal contact, telemarketing and mailing campaign.
  • Verify hand paid jackpots and taxable jackpots.
  • Handle customer disputes quickly and effectively. If unable to resolve the dispute quickly, call the Slot Supervisor.
  • Has thorough and complete knowledge of Complimentary Procedures, as well as the ability to evaluate and issue complementaries.
  • Ensure stationary supplied are adequate for efficient operation.
  • Support and maintain Horseshoe courtesy guidelines.
  • Promote outstanding guest relations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

ADDITIONAL DUTIES/JOB DIMENSIONS:

Regular attendance in conformance with the standards, which may be established by Horseshoe from time to time, is essential to the successful performance of this position. Employees with irregular attendance will be subject to Horseshoe disciplinary action procedures up to and including termination of employment.

Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality/entertainment industry, employees may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the property.

Upon employment, all employees are required to fully comply with Horseshoe policies and procedures for the safe and efficient operation of company facilities. Employees who violate Company policies and procedures are subject to disciplinary action up to and including termination of employment.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

Must be 21 years of age. 6-9 months guest service skills are preferred. Slot operations experience is preferred.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to guests and other employees of the organization. Ability to respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and the general public. CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:

Must qualify for, obtain, and maintain a gaming license from the Indiana Gaming Commission.

REASONING ABILITY:

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES:

Ability to work well with large cash amounts. Basic administrative skills required. Working knowledge of computers.

Knowledge of personnel policies and procedures. Ability to obtain the appropriate work authorization per gaming regulations.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Clean and disinfect work area at the beginning and at the end of each shift. Disinfect radio, keys, and dispatch equipment at the beginning and end of each shift. Disinfect workstations before and after each use. Disinfect slot machine after repairs.
