This position will be based at Fort Belvoir, VA.

JOB SUMMARY:

Telos is seeking candidates for Network Engineer positions. The candidates will be responsible for installation, Operations and Maintenance (O&M) and monitoring of network systems and communications as part of the Telos team.

In this role, you will be assisting in the network assessments, architecture design, implementation & configuration of network infrastructures. You will be working on all aspects of network engineering, to include routers, switches, firewalls, wireless access points, etc. You will be responsible for troubleshooting and resolving network issues and will likely be working independently.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assessment, design, implementation, testing and troubleshooting network systems. Assisting the customer with architectural changes and requirements.


• Establish and maintain network performance. Providing required metrics.


• Build network configurations and connections and troubleshoot network problems.


• Perform network assessments and provide recommendations for network optimizations.


• Define, document, and enforce system standards to ensure cybersecurity requirements are met.


• Troubleshoot network problems and outages. Schedule system upgrades and maintenance windows as required.


• Collaborate with network architects on network optimization and implement updates as directed.


• Analyze and maintain load balancing, firewall and security products under the network umbrella.

Job Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS:

• 3-5+ years demonstrated network engineering experience.


• Security+ Certification or ability to obtain within a month of start.


• CCIE, CCNP or equivalent is highly preferred.


• Experience with software-design networking or cloud-based networking is preferred.


• Experience with Tanium/Splunk and other SOC tool integration is preferred.


• Experience with Cisco, Palo Alto, Infoblox is required.


• Active Secret Security clearance required.

EDUCATION & CERTIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's Degree (BA/BS Engineering, Computer Science, or Math); or equivalent combination ofeducation and experience.


• CCIE, CCNP or equivalent is highly preferred.


• DoD 8570 certification at IAT Level II or higher (Security+, GSEC, SCNP, SSCP, CISSP, CISA, GSE, SCNA) is highly preferred - must obtain within 45 days of start.


• U.S. Citizenship is required.
