HORNE is seeking an Accounts Payable Accounting Technician to support the franchise services division of the Mobile, AL office. The AP Clerk will perform day-to-day functions for the firm using established systems and procedures and provide assistance to other franchise services team members.
Primary Responsibilities:
Review and verify invoices and check requests
Set up invoices for payment
Prepare and process electronic transfers and payments
Post transactions to journals, ledgers, and other records
Reconcile accounts payable transactions
Research and resolve invoice discrepancies and issues
Maintain W9s
Assist with month-end closing
Correspond with clients and respond to inquiries
Required Skills:
General knowledge of accounts payable and accounting procedures
Proficiency in MS Excel and other relevant accounting software
Proficiency in data entry and 10-key with minimal error rate
Basic Accounting Principles
Ability to learn new skills and platforms as needed for new projects
Aptitude for self-guided learning on new technology
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent required
1-3 years' accounts payable experience required
Experience in accounting firm or franchise preferred
