Job Title: EHS Environmental, Health and Safety Coordinator (EPSS054 - EP Safety Specialist II)
Reports to: Continuous Improvement Manager
Primary Function: Assist in the coordination of the environmental, health and safety activities for the Terrell facility to maintain compliance with EPA, TCEQ, OSHA, Corporate and Facility safety and environmental regulations and initiatives.

Requirements:
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to use Microsoft Office programs: Word, Excel, PowerPoint
Ability to read and interpret correctly the OSHA 1910 standards (OSHA 511 certification a plus)
2 years’ experience in manufacturing and safety setting or relevant safety educational background.
Experience with Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan
Experience in Spill Prevention, Control, and Countermeasure
Experience in Air Emissions
Experience with Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA) Hazardous Waste Classification/Management
Ability to relate to management as well as shop floor employees
Demonstrated commitment to safety
Ability to manage multiple on-going tasks to meet deadlines
Minimal Travel
Regular and predictable attendance, safely perform tasks and adherence to all safety policies and procedures are essential functions of this job.
HAZWOPER 40 Hour (Preferred not Required)
Responsibilities:
Perform work directly related to management or general business operations in his key role in coordinating and managing safety at the Terrell facility
Customarily and regularly exercise discretion and independent judgment
Formulate, interpret or implement management policies or operating practices.
Evaluate operations, processes and equipment in the facility to determine compliance with all safe operating policies, facility written programs and OSHA requirements.
Carry out major assignments in conducting the operations of the business
Coordinates safety initiatives for facility to ensure the compliance with all applicable standards. This would include, but not limited to:
Management of Good Catch Program
Leadership of Safety Committee
Coordinate management required safety documentation for the facility (JSAs, Machine Guarding & PPE Assessments, New Equipment Evaluations, etc.)
Review and updating of all Facility Written Programs (LOTO, PIT, Hazcom, etc) - ensure current, documented and in compliance
Investigates and resolves, coordinates investigation and follow-up on incidents and employee care related to safety
Provide consultation and expert advice to management
Provides guidance and support to facility leadership in matters pertaining to the safe operation of the facility.
Act as a conduit between the plant hourly work force and the leadership group.
Coordinator is on call 24 hours per day to respond to incidents and provide advice to leadership in these cases.
Promote safe work practices and safety awareness through all levels of management and shop floor personnel
Prepare for, participate in and follow up on Corporate Health and Safety Audits
Assist with development and follow up on annual Safety Self Assessments and Safety Plan
Identify and administer programs and training to reinforce a culture of safety
Ensure compliance with all pertinent OSHA and OBE requirements, programs and regulations
Maintain safety intranet site
Update and maintain safety information stored in Riskonnect
