Position Description:
Micro-Poise Measurement Systems an AMETEK company is a leading OEM supplier of capital test equipment to the worldwide automotive and tire industries. Micro-Poise is currently seeking an HR Generalist for their Streetsboro, Ohio facility. This position will be responsible for driving talent acquisition/recruitment, training, and employee relations activities. The ideal candidate for this position will be a driven HR professional with a desire to grow professionally within the organization. The selected candidate must be results-oriented and embrace a culture of continuous improvement activities.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

•Must take a strategic HR approach to developing synergies and a common strategy while operating with a “roll up the sleeves” generalist mentality to daily challenges and tasks
•Actively coach and develop leaders in the organization and be a sounding board for the Business Unit Manager
•Coach, counsel and advise management on a variety of HR related business and employee relation issues
•Assist with talent acquisition, recruiting and diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives. Participate in outreach efforts, coordinating interviews, launching background checks, and managing candidates in the applicant tracking system
•Assists with onboarding/new hire orientation, I-9 processing, and partnering with other departments on onboarding logistics
•Ability to interpret employment laws and compliance issues in the United States and partner with Business Partners in other countries on country conformity issues
•Must have the ability to influence managers and leaders within the organization
•Will ensure consistent and fair treatment of employees throughout the Business Unit
•Workforce investigations, and necessary improved performance actions, and corrective actions
•Prepare information for annual talent reviews and compensation audits of the workforce, and leadership programs for key talent, and be willing to top grade of individuals who are not performing up to adequate standards for the business
•Meet staffing requirements for the business unit and maintain the monthly international headcount for the organization and liaison with the BU Controller on monthly headcount projections
•Performance management tracking, cyber security training tracking, initiating payroll data changes, and maintaining records
•Design and effectively implement BU level leadership development programs
•Work with international HR Business Partners, and the Divisional HR Team to coordinate various business activity
•Provide input to the business unit’s strategic direction
•Work with performance assessments; and employment, salary, and benefit administration within the BU
•Assist with merger and acquisition due diligence and post-acquisition integration
•Regularly communicate with the HR Manager and the Vice President of Human Resources
•Additional responsibilities as required by the Business Unit Manager, Manager of Human Resources, and the VP of HR
•EH&S support including scheduling, training, and tracking
•Maintain organizational charts
•Time and attendance tracking
•Assists with employee engagement and company event planning
•Assists with various types of database queries and reports related to the HR function

Position Requirements:
•Bachelor’s Degree required, an emphasis in Business Administration or Human Resources is preferred
•Entry level to 5 years’ experience. Pay will be commensurate with experience
•Experience in a manufacturing organization, experience with labor relations will be a plus, but not required
•Experience with HRIS systems and/or SuccessFactors a plus
•Ability to handle confidential data
•Excellent organizational and time-management skills
•Strong verbal and written communication skills
•Ability to solve practical problems
•Knowledge of Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
•Knowledge of various HR, Recruiting Systems, and Time and Attendance systems will be a plus
•Travel 20 - 25%
