Your Responsibilities

As a Dynamic Systems Modeling Engineer for John Deere Construction & Forestry located in Dubuque, IA, you will...

• Provide direct analytical support to one product- line and auxiliary support to other product- lines, as required
• Lead the development of physics- based simulation models to support virtual full- vehicle performance testing and product design decisions
• Collaborate with product design teams to define continuous improvement opportunities, expand virtual test capabilityand correlate simulation with physical test results
• Develop a growing understanding of product function, customer applicationand machine operation

What Skills You Need

• 2 or more years of combined engineering experience from a full- time position, advanced degree program, co-op(s) and/or internships
• Fundamental understanding of physical systems and mathematics
• Applied engineering experience in controls, hydraulics, powertrainand/or structural linkages
• Experience analyzing data with advanced software tools
• Ability to document and present technical work
• Demonstrated experience working in a team environment

What Makes You Stand Out

• Advanced user of MATLAB, Simscape and Simulink software for simulation of mechanical systems
• Deep understanding in embedded- controls, hydraulic systems, powertrainand/or structural linkages
• Previous work experience in physics- based dynamic modeling, controlsand correlation
• Advanced Degree in an engineering discipline

Education

Ideally, you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:

• Bachelor of Science Degree in an engineering discipline
