Position Summary:


Ascend Learning’s Safety & Security sales team is currently hiring an inside sales Account Manager to drive the continued growth of our cybersecurity and computer science solutions within the academic markets. This position will support the overall revenue performance for this high growth segment working with a defined list of existing customers to drive retention and expansion growth within the assigned territory. As a specialist for our cybersecurity portfolio, this position will be proficient with our cyber education technology solutions, with a concentration on the technical skills needed to understand the needs of our customers and drive adoption of our cybersecurity cloud labs.


This is an office-based position located in our Burlington MA or Leawood KS offices (hybrid office model).


Responsibilities:



  • Thought retention, upsell, and cross-sell activity, drive customer renewals and accelerate expansion growth with a defined list of cybersecurity customers

  • Sell and provide specialized sales support for computer science and cybersecurity learning solutions including print, digital, assessment, and best in-class cloud lab solutions

  • In collaboration with our field-based Account Executive, engage clients at the instructor and department level to exceed sales goals

  • Responsible for accurately representing and becoming an internal expert on our cybersecurity solutions

  • Collaborate with sales management, sales enablement, product, and marketing teams to develop effective promotional campaigns and lead generation efforts

  • Work closely with cyber security sales team to provide customer insights to continue to drive strong customer renewal rates and overall account growth

Education & Experience:



  • Bachelor’s degree

  • 2+ years of sales experience Skills & Abilities

  • Strong preference for candidates who have been accountable for motivating and energizing audiences to embrace the need for technology-based educational solutions

  • Demonstrated consistent achievement of individual sales goals and experience working in a team-based sales model

  • Candidates must be organized and possess the ability to work independently to implement shared strategies developed by the sales leadership team

  • Strong communication skills

  • Success forming multiple customer relationships which have resulted in long-term, profitable relationships

  • Strong territory and account management skills within a team-based sales model

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and resources simultaneously

  • Strong business acumen and a drive to support and expand our current customer relationships

  • Proficient with Microsoft Applications.
