As a cyber strategic planning and policy development consultant on our team, you will assist in the assessment of the DoD current cyber policies, the coverage of those policies, and areas of risks. You will evaluate and audit how policies stack up to regulations, best practices, and industry standards. As you guide your client through understanding acceptable risk and availability, you will advance the development of a strategic cyber roadmap. You will work in a consultative role to ensure the client operates securely as they navigate an evolving IT environment. Join us as we protect the DoD through strategic cyber policy development.
Duties and Responsibilities
Develops and monitors the implementation of policy and procedures to support information security goals and operations.
Develops changes in policy or strategy to support new initiatives or required changes.
Manages information security implications within the organization as directed by leadership.
Applies advanced consulting skills and/or extensive technical expertise, full industry knowledge.
Develops innovative solutions to complex problems.

Requirements
Required Skills (Knowledge, Skills, Abilities)
Knowledge of cybersecurity engineering, cyber forensics, network security tools and technologies, cybersecurity policy, procedures, and workforce structure to design, develop, and implement recommendations for a secure enclave environment, and best practices.
Skilled in writing, reviewing, and revising high-level policy, directives, instructions, and other documents.
Ability to coordinate tasks and projects.
Initiative and can function independently and on a team across geographies.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.

DoD 8570 Information Assurance Management (IAM-III) Certification
Years of Experience/Education Requirements
15+ years of experience in Information Technology (IT)
10+ years of experience Information Assurance Management (IAM)
HS Diploma or GED minimum (BS or MS degree related to cybersecurity or IT preferred)
Preferred Skills/Experience
Experience applying cybersecurity knowledge and skills with the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) and a grasp of what it means to work in a challenging, fast-paced DOD work environment.
Experience with cybersecurity engineering and architecture; Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT); Defensive Cyber Operations (DCO).
Experience with cybersecurity of networks, information systems, cloud, telecommunications, Infrastructure devices, satellite systems, databases/data warehouses/data lakes, and/or software.
Expertise in cybersecurity-related governance and practices common within the DoD such as the Risk Management Framework (RMF).
Hands-on use of common cybersecurity tools such as Intrusion Detection/Prevention Systems (IDS/IPS), Security Information/Event Management (SIEM) systems, and/or vulnerability scanners (Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS), etc.).
Proficiency with cybersecurity compliance tools such as Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Service (eMASS).
Experience with vulnerability analysis, scanning, and assessments; devising and implementing mitigations.
Knowledge of systems administration, configuration management.
Knowledge of cyberspace workforce management programs.
Excellent technical writing skills; including required open and closed source research as well as attention to detail for content, flow, clarity, conciseness, grammar, punctuation, and formatting.
Skilled in researching and interpreting high-level cybersecurity-related documentation such as policies, directives, etc.
Skilled in presentation and workflow optimization.
Proficiency with productivity software: MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Access, PowerPoint; Visio); PowerShell; Collaborative Tools (e.g., Skype for Business, Defense Connect Online).
Skilled in building and maintaining SharePoint-based applications
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in both in-person and virtual work environments.
