Job Description

About
The Client Implementation Management (CIM) Business Analyst is accountable for providing an advanced level of investment operational expertise and support for proprietary product activities with special emphasis on Collective Investment Trusts.   This includes engaging with internal and external business partners and service providers, gathering and analyzing key reference data and operational requirements to solution operational efficiencies and risk mitigation efforts.  The CIM Business Analyst is expected to lead change event discussions with custodians, recordkeepers, and other service providers as needed. 

Scope

Provides quality operational support to clients on a daily basis, which includes identifying and resolving issues related to client operations, in accordance with the regulatory requirements and consumer laws, referring more complex problems to managers or other experts.

Responsibilities


  • Supports a variety of straightforward client relationships, including onboarding, monitoring requests, and resolving issues as they arise. Escalates complex issues and requests to more senior staff as needed.

  • Gathers data to inform operating or servicing agreements. Performs analyses on operational issues raised by clients and their service providers. Identifies a variety of nonstandard operational needs and escalates accordingly.

  • Builds and maintains effective working relationships with internal and external customers. Works with clients to resolve a wide variety of basic issues. Supports the communication of information to internal parties following established processes.

  • Participates in initiatives and projects to enhance the quality and efficiency of the client operations department processes. Recommends process improvements.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of education and relevant experience AND 2+ years of total relevant work experience

Preferred Qualifications


  • 4+ years of investment management operations experience

  • Confidence and ability to interact with high level internal and external contacts, including Sales/Relationship Managers, investment professionals, clients, and service providers

  • Solid understanding of investment vehicles and products offered at T. Rowe Price

  • Intermediary trade and settlement functions including NSCC/DCC&S trading

  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills

  • Demonstrated ability to lead conversations and meetings

  • Client service orientation and elevated attention to detail
