Your responsibilities
The Logistics Clerk is an hourly position that is responsible for assisting the team leader and supervisor in managing day-to-day administration and maintenance associated with the movement of parts throughout the warehouse and operations for just-in-time manufacturing. • Administrative and clerical support experience with ability to complete data entry tasks with accuracy and efficiency.• Assist the team leads in all of the day to day operations of the plant and warehouse to included answering emails, fulfilling requests from production all while staying in constant communication with the leads.• Provides active feedback to the Team Lead regarding the material handler's performance. Assists with driving processes to optimize warehouse performance.• Promotes a safety driven culture in the warehouse and plant by submitting accident reports and proactive near misses.• Generates pick orders for all sub-contractors.• Operates forklifts when needed in order to assist the team.• Monitors error tracking log and coordinates with the team leads for corrective action. • Ensures inventory accuracy through auditing and investigating line shortages.• Communicates the repair of all forklifts to the Team Leads and Supervisors to ensure the appropriate repairs are completed.• Performs all other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Your profile
• General computer knowledge and proficiency. Proficient with Microsoft Office Word, Excel and Outlook.• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with all levels of employees, customers, suppliers, both verbally and in written form.• 1-2 years clerical experience required. Experience in logistics or transportation a plus. • High School diploma equivalent preferred or verifiable ability to perform essential job functions.• Must have regular and punctual attendance.
