Job Description:

Your responsibilities

The Director of Finance position in Danville is a pivotal position with the priority of successfully managing the financial reporting and administrative functions in support of the operational units within the business and their continuous improvement. Overseeing Accounting, Controlling, Purchasing and Information Systems this position is also responsible to satisfy external requirements relating to Shareholder, Legal, Governmental mandates and compliance.

Additionally, the Director of Finance is a member of the highly collaborative thyssenkrupp Camshafts Leadership Team. This team focuses on campus leadership in a challenging, fun and fast paced environment.


  • Maintains a safe working environment by complying with all safety and environmental policies in the workplace.

  • Coordinates and discusses with the Executive Management Board to establish our business plan and goals to achieve a high level of customer satisfaction


  • Communicates on a regular basis within the company and with headquarters all information that impacts the business, department or group.

  • Verifies that company strategies, business plans and goals are the focus of all initiatives.

  • Provides support and guidance to staff

  • Responsible for the evaluation of all business contracts related to the operation of the business to protect the company from legal actions, law suits and costly financial contracts.

  • Maintains awareness of the evolving economic environment and make recommendations for changes to the current processes or operations.

  • Supports decision-making at all levels of the organization by providing information including; reports, analysis, and financial direction in areas of policy and planning.

  • Removes roadblocks in the implementation of new programs and systems in cooperation with the Business Units.


  • Supports other thyssenkrupp locations with assistance to meet our overall company requirements.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Your profile

Supervisory Responsibility:

Manages team members and is responsible for the overall direction, coordination and evaluation of the Finance, Purchasing and IT/ SAP departments.

Qualifications:

To perform this job successfully, a successful candidate will be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.



  • Education: Language: Minimum of a Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university in Accounting and/or Finance or equivalent field; 5+ years of experience in the automotive industry or similar industry. Master's Degree preferred.


  • Technology: Ability to interact and understand SAP or equivalent ERP system as well as other financial reporting software.


  • Travel: Occasional travel, up to 10% including international
