Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Maintenance Teams perform repairs and preventive maintenance to ensure longer lifespan of machines and facilities. Every team member is responsible for maintaining housekeeping and organization of the work area as well as following TE Connectivity's EH&S policies and procedures.

What You'll Be Doing....

As a Maintenance Mechanic, you are responsible for;

Maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing mechanical and electrical components on manufacturing machinery - replacing parts as required. This includes a wide range of CNC and advanced metal-machining technology (Haas multi-access VMCs, CNC Form and Flat grinders. Mori Seiki and DooSan Lathes, Makino, Charmilles Wire EDMS, etc)

* Perform repairs and Preventative Maintenance on machinery and mechanical controls.
* Utilize all welding techniques including TIG welding.
* Effectively use knowledge of Hydraulics & Pneumatics and be able to read schematics/blueprints.
* Perform Preventive maintenance and identify problems.
* Lay-out and install pipe and tubing on complex systems.
* Repairing of gearboxes, chain drives, clutches and transmissions.
* Knowledgeable in rigging, valves, pumps, in using mill, lathe, large drill presses, fabrication with all types of sheet metal.
* Complete all work orders, preventive maintenance sheets, and repair logs to reflect work performed.
* Follow safety guidelines while working on machinery or in facilities (ex. Lock out/tag out)
* General housekeeping of work area along with other maintenance and/or facilities projects as assigned, including use of forklift and scissor-lift.

What your background should look like:

* AAS in Electronics, Electro-Mechanical or Industrial Technology plus 2+
years' experience in electronics or mechanical field or 10+ years'
experience in manufacturing in hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical repair,
motor controls in plant environment.
* Demonstrated trouble-shooting and repair skills on machinery noted
above (or similar metal-machining technologies)
* Familiarity with National Electrical Code; Electrical Contractors License
preferred
* Ability to read electrical schematics
* Electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic blueprint reading skills required;
experience reading blueprints from non-U.S. manufacturers preferred
* Experience using micrometers, gauges, rulers (metric and standard)
* PLC Programming experience highly desired.
* Math skills (electrical wiring work requires use of decimals, percentages)
* Ability to prioritize work in order to successfully accomplish job duties
