What you'll do:

Cigna's 10 - 12 week summer internship program is designed to further develop analytical skills and business acumen in a dynamic and flexible work environment. A great way to assess whether the underwriting profession in general and Express Scripts in particular are a good fit for you is to participate in our underwriting summer internship. This 10 week program from late May to early August will expose you to what life as an underwriter will be like and serves as a "two way interview"; we view the internship program as a source to identify full time talent. This internship offers:

  "Real work ": you will be assigned underwriting responsibilities and make a contribution to the Express Scripts mission and goals

  Community: Y ou will have the opportunity for visibility with senior management as well as one-on-one learning with underwriting professionals, who will share their knowledge, experience and assume roles as individual coaches and mentors.

  Leader Speaker S eries: Y ou and your fellow interns will be exposed to a variety of sessions and presentations given by members of the Cigna community.

What you need to do the job:

• Ideal candidates will be progressing toward a bachelor's degre e, and have completed at least 3 years in desired majors including ; Finance, Business, Economics, Risk Management or related fields
  
  


• 3.0 GPA is preferred
  
  


• High comfort level with math/numbers
  
  


• Excellent oral and written communication skills
  
  


• Proficiency with Microsoft office software, especially Microsoft Word and Excel
  
  


• An interest in pursuing a career in underwriting

  Location : Franklin Lakes, NJ . T his role can work from home; however, geographical preference is for the incumbent to be located in the Franklin Lakes area.The internship is paid and housing assistance is not offered.

  Work Authorization : One goal of this internship program is to prepare and identify qualified candidates for roles with Cigna post-graduation. Therefore, this temporary internship is open only to individuals who are eligible for employment in the United States and who would not require visa sponsorship now or in the future.

  Schedule: You must be available to work a 40-hour work week for 10-12 weeks in summer 2022, beginning May 23, 2022.
