Your Responsibilities

As a Senior Product Engineer for John Deere Horicon Works Utility Vehicles located in Horicon, WI , you will....


  • Provide mentoring and coaching to a team of engineers designing and developing utility vehicles
  • Collaborate closely with program managers and cross functional team members to determine, document, and track product requirements
  • Perform systems engineering duties on project team(s)

What Skills You Need


  • 4 or more years of product development experience
  • Experience successfully designing and developing products and putting them into production
  • Experience using systems engineering tools in new product development

What Makes You Stand Out


  • Excellent understanding and knowledge of engineering principles, both in theory and practice
  • Experience creating design solutions that improve cost, manufacturability, reliability, durability, quality and performance
  • Experience using engineering tools such as CAD, CAE analysis tools (FEA, CFD, etc), PDM management systems and databases
  • Demonstrated experience resolving complex technical issues
  • Experience creating part/system cost targets, proven record of ability to track and meet these goals for area of responsibility
  • Experience designing and developing off road utility vehicles

Education

Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:


  • University Degree in an Engineering/Technology discipline or 4 or more years equivalent experience
  • Formal Systems Engineering training
