The Scrum Master is the servant leader of the Agile Team, tasked with facilitating the flow of work through the team and addressing externalities and impediments to work the team faces.
Responsibilities
Work with the leadership to focus the team's work effort, address risks/areas of concerns, provide feedback, and support the health of the team as a whole.
Facilitate and maintain consistent and beneficial Agile Process methodologies within a software development team by conducting daily standups, iteration retrospective, iteration planning, user story refinement, iteration review ceremonies, etc.
Build a reporting strategy that enhances collaboration and gives leadership a view of Agile Team progress.
Supports the Agile Team's Product Owner and the ART's Release Train Engineer (RTE)
Work with Product Owners and Stakeholders to identify and clarify priority of project-related needs.
Contributes to the ART events and coordinates with other teams/SMEs to create an understanding of user needs and timely delivery of user stories, wireframes, and other required artifacts.
Helps determine and maintain overall team velocity and capacity, and support Agile Team Estimation.
Facilitates the Agile Team's progress toward the team goals, eliminates impediments, and proactively escalates issues or risks related to RTEs, and / or Management to address or mitigate such issues.
Able to work with multiple teams in a Scrum Master role and is focused on the successful processes and outcomes related to those teams
Supports the creation and adherence to the Agile Team's rules
Productive member of the ScrumMaster Community of Practice team to help define, standardize and set consistent processes throughout the engineering organization
Works with the Product Owner to ensure that the team's backlog is properly refined and actionable.
Able to coordinate cross-team efforts and deliveries through collaboration, coordination, and support of the activities of disparate teams supporting the overall successful delivery of product features
Utilizes team feedback and metrics (quality, delivery rate, etc.) to identify areas of opportunity and works with the team to continuously improve and build a high performing team.
Exhibits Lean-Agile leadership and coach the team to improve collaboration and self-organization
Promotes SAFe quality practices and supports SAFe adoption

Qualifications
Education
BA, BS or equivalent.
SAFe Certified Scrum Master preferred
Experience
6+ years of Agile experience
At least 3-5 years of experience as a Scrum Master for software development teams
Experience instilling Agile values and making teams productive at any level of maturity
Agile coaching experience with Agile methodologies such as SAFe, XP, Scrum, Lean, or Kanban
Experience with SAFe a plus
