Primary Purpose:

This position is part of Systems Engineering Team to manage the Private Cloud's Compute and Storage Environment for NTT. The candidate will perform engineering work and provide level-3 escalation support.

This individual will interface directly with customers, internal stakeholders and/or Partners.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

Manage Private Cloud environment with extensive hands-on Supporting, implementing, and configuring highly complex virtualized environments including but not limited to ESXi 6.x/7.x, vSphere, vSAN, NSX, and HCI

Participate and drive design, implementation and maintenance of storage area network (SAN) (Pure, Compellent, XIO) environment and network-attached storage (NAS) environments.

Provide input on data protection, access, authentication control, security control, resource management, monitoring, high availability, fault tolerance and scalable virtualized infrastructure solution.

Take ownership of projects assigned and participates in the envisioned solutions.

Analyze infrastructure's performance data and provide recommendation on capacity and best practices.

Participate and contribute in planning and implementation of data center technologies, new product\tool evaluation.

Participate in On Call rotation for level 3 escalation support for troubleshooting.

Job Skills and And Competencies

- Bachelor Degree or in-lieu of degree equivalent education, training and work-related experience

- 5+ years of VMWare experience implementing and administering mission critical enterprise class VMware systems

- Expert level in VMWare ESXi 6.x\ 7.x. Must go beyond the GUI and understand CLI and comfortable in a ESXi Command line and be able to gather data and solve complex issues.

- Experience with Multiple vCenter environments.

- Worked with multiple storage vendors, Dell EMC Compellent, Xtreme IO, Pure etc.

- Experience installing and managing Brocade fiber channel products

- Must have strong skills on PowerShell coding techniques.

- Must be able to understand the interactions of numerous systems and analyze performance data and capacity management.

- Must be able to work in a team environment and communicate effectively.

- Experience working within a virtualized and cloud environment interfacing with VMWare ESX hosts etc. Security, TCP/IP, SAN and NAS, physical data center practices.

Desired Skills

• Experience in Windows Server management.


• Experience in Cisco UCS based hardware environment


• Proficient with disaster recovery concepts, implementation, troubleshooting and performance tuning


• Project Management Experience
