Overview

CAES is searching for a Senior Financial Systems Analyst to join our Corporate Finance team. We are seeking an experienced Senior Financial Systems Analyst that will design, customize and optimize solutions that will take our financial reporting systems to the next level.

In this role, you will be working closely with cross functional teams and you will implement scalable solutions to overcome challenges and deliver maintainable solutions that will grow with CAES. This role is the interface between the corporate and divisional Finance organizations and the IT applications support team as well as with key corporate finance functions and systems. Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively across all levels of the organization will lead to success in the role.


Responsibilities


  • Opportunity to engage as a key team member on corporate finance initiatives by providing business process and functional system support to the finance organization

  • Responsible for applying accounting and financial concepts to help define and develop business system and process requirements

  • Design and implement solutions to overcome challenges inherent to a system landscape with multiple ERP and other desperate solutions through data integration, consolidated data models and common data reporting/analytics

  • Responsible for gathering data and understanding business objectives to assist in defining new or improved business processes

  • Provide functional administration support to corporate financial systems with a clear understanding of how system changes impact the finance system, business process, and business end users

  • Support the development of test scenarios and scripts, as well as lead and perform testing of system and business process changes to satisfy finance requirements

  • Responsibility to provide system end user support for the corporate financial applications, including development of training and/or "how to" materials as appropriate

  • Responsible for working with IT and Finance team members to troubleshoot system issues and resolve end user concerns

  • Identify opportunities, provide recommendations, and help implement best practices for internal controls, data governance and operational improvements across the business


Qualifications

Minimum:


  • Bachelor's Degree

  • 5+ years of work experience in finance, accounting, or business analysis

  • 5+ years supporting ERP, financial reporting or other applicable financial process/systems


  • 5+ years of proficient experience using Microsoft Office applications, specifically Power Point and Excel applications


Preferred:


  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Technology

  • Financial System implementation experience

  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills with close attention to detail

  • Effective communication skills with the ability to effectively collaborate across the enterprise

  • Change Management experience

  • Experience with Oracle EPM, PBCS, SAP, Hyperion, SmartView and/or Business Intelligence/Analytics tools

  • Experience with IFRS/US GAAP Technical Accounting matters

  • Knowledge of government contractor regulations in accounting

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Self-motivated, yet functions well in a team environment

  • Strong project management skills

  • Prior experience in Aerospace & defense industry
