Director of Hospice Consulting at WellSky

Job Description:

Our Hospice Director is primarily responsible for leading the hospice initiative for WellSky. Functioning as WellSky's hospice expert, working collaboratively with services, technology and analytics to ensure WellSky hospice services reflect current regulations and industry best practices. Work on creating value added services that strengthen the performance of WellSky Hospice clients.


Key Activities:



  • Lead in providing and overseeing the delivery of effective onsite and online hospice education programs for clinicians and managers.

  • Inform and update guidance on hospice organizational design and recommended work processes as regulation and payment methodologies advance, nationally.



  • Responsible for developing content and/or providing keynote and other state and national presentations on hospice requirements. AOS oversight of all Hospice and Palliative Related Services including Compliance, Consulting, Clinical, and Service Integration and working closely with, providing consultation to Hospice Rev Cycle, Hospice Coding, and Hospice Education.

  • Responsible for managing and coordinating projects within primary AOS departments and collaborating with other WellSky Enterprise Departments to ensure maximin integration of services and goods within client programs.

  • Development of new and updated service offerings to expand and integrate within applicable WellSky departments.



  • Develop content for and present to state and national audiences, as indicated

  • Participate at a SME for sales and sales related processes


Competencies/Requirements:



  • The chosen candidate must be an RPT or RN and have at least 5 years of hospice care experience.

  • A Bachelor's Degree is preferred as is Certification as a Hospice and Palliative Care clinician (CHPN).

  • Prior demonstrated experience providing clear, engaging, professional presentations as well as hospice education are needed.

  • Strong time management skills, the ability to adapt to changing priorities, meet deadlines and productivity standards and work well under pressure are necessary skills.

  • Frequent travel is required (20-30%)
