You will be designing complicated and various types of electrical systems utilized within the respective markets listed above. In addition, this role will assist field staff, General Contractors, Architects, and Engineers to ensure compliance with specifications and design during construction.
Qualifications:
- BSEE degree from an ABET accredited engineering program.
- Targeting 0-3 years' experience in electrical design.
- EI is preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of electrical systems such as power distribution, lighting and lighting controls, grounding/bonding, fire alarm, telephone/data, and other low voltage systems (paging, nurse call, etc.).
- Systems and software expertise includes AutoCAD, Revit, power analysis software such as EasyPower or SKM, and lighting photometric calculation software such as Visual.
- Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices and procedures.
- Review, understand, and apply local, state and federal codes and standards related to the design and construction of project facilities.
- Must be able to follow and properly apply market specific guidelines, the practices and policies of the associated local and building codes, discipline, divisions and firm.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Create and evolve system designs from concept to final construction document phase.
- Perform analyses and apply problem solving techniques in order to develop creative, innovative solutions.
- Perform a variety of complicated tasks and critical thinking.
