Position Snapshot Account Executives at US Ecology sell hazardous waste treatment and disposal services, wastewater treatment, and an array of field and industrial services and transportation. They maintain and grow relationships with customers while achieving assigned sales and profit growth goals. They retain existing business, support the company's offerings, and pursue profitable growth opportunities. Account Executives also act as the first line of technical assistance for customers, and are the go-to person that customers call first.
Day in the Life
You can expect to:
Develop and secure new profitable business for the company
Receive calls from Customers, on acceptability of materials, answering technical questions, market strategies, disposal and transportation pricing
Develop strategies for growing revenues in geographic markets or specific service lines
Complete required sales reports, forecasts, or other reports
Prepare price quotations and proposals
Assist in collection of receivables if accounts are delinquent
Make recommendations to sales management regarding pricing strategies
Coordinate with management to develop effective strategies for closing prospect opportunities
Execute approved business development plans for assigned sales territory
Contact existing customers to ensure account retention
Participate in site evaluations and prepare inclusive quotes that include scope of work, price estimates and contingencies
Maintain and grow a well-established book of US Ecology existing business
Organize projects across the company and report on activity
Leverage existing business opportunities and contacts specific to waste and disposal services throughout California and the West coast
What you need to apply
Located in the West Region and reports to Long Beach, CA office
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Environmental Science or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
3 years' minimum of related sales experience in the Hazardous Waste Disposal or Environmental industry
Knowledge and understanding of sales pricing and competitive options with the environmental related industry
Working knowledge of RCRA regulations and how to apply to proper waste acceptance and pricing
Experience using CRM system(s)
Ability to work remotely while traveling regionally
Ability to pass pre-employment background checks and drug screening
