Effective presentation skills are vital in this role, as well as the ability to ensure standards and goals are met in a given timeframe. Therefore, planning and problem-solving skills are both essential for success in this position.
A Mopar Instructor delivers the technical training in the manufacturer specific Mopar TEC Program. This program includes Chrysler, Ram, Fiat, Jeep and Dodge. This program is a 12-week in duration and topics include Engine Repair, Driveline, Chassis, Electrical, HVAC and Diesel Systems. The ideal candidate is one who enjoys mentoring others, in a fast-paced, collaborative, hands-on environment. This position will provide coaching, technical expertise and encouragement while allowing students structured opportunities to improve their own proficiency. Responsibilities
Utilize previous Mopar dealership experience to teach students UTI graduates who have enrolled in the Mopar TEC Program
Presents and coach Mopar Tec students during lab exercises.
Follows the provided lesson plan to ensure consistency of student outcomes
Maintain a world-class image of the of the classroom, workshop area, and training vehicles.
Ensures compliance with all Safety/OSHA Regulations
Continuously learn/stay current with the ever-evolving Mopar technology
Ensures UTI is legitimate in our operations by following the compliance related responsibilities for this position in the supplemental document.

Qualifications
Education / Experience
High School Diploma or equivalent
5 years related work experience (5 of which need to occur within the last 10 years)
Master ASE Certification strongly preferred
Chrysler certification - minimum of level 2 stongly preferred
Strong Mopar Dealer experience required in any of the following brands: Chrysler, Ram, Fiat, Jeep or Dodge
Experience as an instructor is a plus (but not required)
Must meet ACCSC standards for instructors, achieve and maintain required technical certifications and state specific licensing requirements as a condition of employment.

Abilities
Must be able to instruct two consecutive courses per workday; amount of hours will vary based on campus location and program (applies to campuses with ADT II curriculum)
Must be able to talk, stand, and support lab activities for six hours per day
Must be able to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds for short periods of time during the workday
Must be able to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl for very short periods of time during the workday
Must be able to talk, see, hear, concentrate, think, learn and reason for all of the workday
Must be able to sit and walk or otherwise move around for prolonged periods of time throughout the workday.
Must be able to use a keyboard and do manual tasks for prolonged periods of time throughout the workday.
Work Environment
Work is performed primarily indoors often in a climate controlled environment.
Work is performed near or with moving mechanical parts
Short periods of limited exposure to non-hazardous levels of fumes or airborne particles.
