Inspect, calibrate, and control the flow of all precision hand tools/gages
Manage and schedule external calibration companies
Schedule and distribute reports on gages coming due and gages delinquent on a weekly basis
Maintain and update the Electronic Data Calibration Program
Inventory and order replacement parts for standard gaging such as Indicator Points, Thread Gage members, Plug Gages, and Dial bore parts, etc.
Update and create new work instructions on how to calibrate gages
Perform Gage Frequency Analysis
Perform cycle count of all gages in-house and at Vendors, Customers, and other Barnes locations
Train employees such as Apprentices, Interns, etc., on how to use precision tools/gages
Qualifications:
5 years of experience in an aerospace or high precision manufacturing company with experience in inspection
Expert proficiency in the use of measuring instruments such as various micrometers, dial calipers, indicators, etc.
Mechanical inclination
Good computer skills including Microsoft Office programs
Good mathematical skills
Strong organizational skills
Ability to read and interpret gage blueprints and technical documents
Education Requirements:
