Job Location: Franklin Lakes, NJ (Remote until Covid)

Role: Sr Mainframe Developer (Hands-on)

Work experience required: 7 - 15yrs

Skill set: Mainframe COBOL, DB2, CICS, JCL, SQL and ETL concepts

Required Skills/Qualifications:


  • This individual must be hands-on and strong in Mainframe DB2 and SQL concepts

  • Good working knowledge in CICS

  • Ability to Design, Develop, Test and Deploy mainframe solutions

  • Provide on call support on rotation basis

Preferred Skills/Qualification:


  • Experience in Teradata and ETL process

  • Experience working in Healthcare domain

Responsibilities:


  • Design and code high quality deliverables adhering to defined standards and design principles

  • Create unit tests and ensure code coverage is met as per the agreed standards

  • Assumes responsibility for the quality and timeliness of deliverables

  • Functions in complex environments with minimal direction

  • Solid individual performance while partnering with others

  • Works well through self-directed effort

  • May serve as technical lead in area of expertise

  • May provide technical assistance to resolve operating issues

  • Work with IT and Business management to evaluate complex user requests, projects, and clarify objectives and functional requirements for new or modified computer programs.

  • Formulates detailed program specifications using structured analysis and design methodology, prepare project documentation when needed

  • Code new or modified computer programs into existing systems and test program effectiveness

  • Evaluate error messages, modify codes and troubleshoot programming problems.

  • Perform analysis of systems issues or changes

  • Write documentation describing program development, logic, coding, and corrections

  • Participate in the development of user manuals and operating procedures
