Job Description

Job Summary: The GTC Business Analyst will support all activities of the Global Trade Compliance Technology (GTCT) team to ensure timely Implementations and ongoing support of our Automated Export Compliance Systems. The GTC Business Analyst will also provide a range of support, including the key responsibilities set forth below. This is a dynamic role that requires a responsive, collaborative individual with high agility, professionalism, and adaptability in a lean and rapidly changing environment. This position will report to the Director, GTC Technology.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:


  • Support GTC in developing and managing compliance tools (e.g. SAP GTS, OCR EASE) to ensure a streamlined and automated companywide trade compliance toolkit.

  • Responsible for the implementation and support of OCR EASE modules to include but not limited to: Authorization Management, DOS Licensing, DOC Licensing, Commodity Classification, Compliance Request, DSEA Management, Export Operations, Import Operations, Visitor Management & Investigations and Disclosures.

  • Administer and support Relativity One e-Discovery Tool

  • Identify and design integrated compliance system solutions for both US and Non-US FLIR entities.

  • Take the lead on other projects to support the design, development and implementation of new systems and methods that relate to existing Line of Business operations.

  • Communicate with international stakeholders and project team members to assist in the implementation of GTC programs.

  • Work in close collaboration with the GTC and IT teams.

  • Understand GTC related procedures, processes and policies and consider them in project discussions & initiatives.

  • Track milestones, deadlines & deliverables for all assigned projects.

  • Streamline business intelligence capabilities by using analytic & reporting tools such as Power BI.

Job Qualifications:


  • Knowledge and administrative support for multiple OCR EASE modules

  • 5+ years of proven experience in export controls with demonstrated experience managing trade compliance activities.

  • Strong IT background and skills specifically related to tools and/or applications supporting global trade compliance.

  • Background in global trade controls such as licensing & compliance

  • Demonstrated ability to successfully develop and launch IT tools in a complex, global environment

  • Strong project management skills with ability to set priorities and perform a variety of complex and broad work assignments

  • Strong influencing and negotiation skills; a desire and the ability to affect change and work in teams across the organization

  • Superior analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to complex problems.

  • Strong writing and editing skills, particularly in the areas of synthesizing information and tailoring the presentation of information to different audiences.

  • Ability to handle multiple, detail-oriented tasks simultaneously and produce professional work product with limited supervision.

  • Demonstrate considerable personal initiative and a strong analytical mindset.

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent

  • Up to 25% travel may be required
