Summary

The primary responsibility of this position is to manage the TRUMPF Training Center, and to oversee the training & development for customers, field service technicians and other internal employees. The manager is expected to prioritize and balance between the three main areas of responsibility to meet both customers and TRUMPF internal training needs.

Principle Duties & Responsibilities

Training & Development for TRUMPF Customers and Technical Service Employees


  1. Oversee and/or develop training courses for external customers and technical service employees

  2. Create testing and evaluation processes for optimized training of customers and employees

  3. Develop individual training plans for certain customers

  4. Manage training resources for machines, equipment, classrooms, and training materials

  5. Align technical training courses for service members with TRUMPF headquarters

  6. Ensure effectiveness of training through tests and reviews with trainees during and after the training period

Training & Development for internal TRUMPF employees:


  1. Plan, direct, and supervise all professional, managerial and leadership qualification programs for TUS employees

  2. Develop and implement further educational concepts for TUS employees in close co-operation with the Human Recourses department

  3. Evaluate needs of company and plan training programs accordingly

  4. Evaluate, develop, and implement non-technical training including but not limited to compliance, HR, safety, and development training programs

  5. Manage the implementation and coordination of TRUMPF apprenticeship programs in the U.S.

General managerial responsibilities:


  1. Provide exceptional customer service

  2. Maintenance of the machine floor portfolio

  3. Manage the training & development department employees

  4. Implement creative and innovative corporate training methods such as virtual training and blended learning

  5. Provide performance feedback to department members and external training providers

  6. Maintain and report training & development key figures, prepare and implement training & development budget

Experience

Minimum of 5 years experience in a similar or related role. Minimum 3 years of successfully leading teams, project management experience preferred. Experience in developing strategies to support corporate goals and objectives. Excellent verbal and written communication, presentation, and facilitation skills required. German language a plus.

Education

Bachelor's degree in related field required. Master's degree preferred.
