Dairy Sales Specialist/Consultant

We're hiring a Dairy Sales Specialist/Consultant position to join our Southern Dairy Sales Team! This position will focus in Florida and South Georgia with a primary focus in adult cow and replacement heifers. In this role, you will be responsible for consulting with large dairy producers to improve production capabilities and profits through sales of feed components, and/or fee-based nutritional consultation programs.

This position is remote/virtual and can work from home, but must be located within the territory which is Florida and South Georgia.

Responsibilities include:

• Develop strategies to increase the market share and impact of proprietary technology and products.
  
  


• Monitor and document production and profitability improvements for producers implementing program and product recommendations
  
  


• Maintain a high level of proficiency and competency in production management, nutrition, and sales
  
  


• Provide strategic and tactical planning skills necessary to provide solutions-based selling of value-add technologies
  
  


• Build relationships with dairy influencers (vets/independent nutritionists)
  
  


• Conducting calf trials, which includes weighing and measuring calves.
  
  

Experience/Education:

• Bachelors Degree required; Master's, PhD, DVM desired; preferably nutrition focused
  
  


• UP to 2+ years' experience in dairy production-young animal growth to adult cow performance
  
  


• Priority given to candidates with previous dairy sales/consulting experience
  
  


• Requires daily travel in an assigned geography with up to 65% overnight travel.
  
  


• Demonstrated experience using a dairy management/records system
