Overview:

Evaluate, process, and allocate customer orders for distribution center, manage warehouse inventory transactions, and coordinate both inbound and outbound shipments to meet our customer demands throughout the Blue Buffalo supply chain network.

Work Schedule: Thursday - Sunday (10-hour shifts)

Responsibilities:

• Monitor and report on carrier compliance with Blue Buffalo transportation standards and practices.


• Coordinate and communicate exceptions in the order management process.


• Log all pre-approved freight cost and reconcile discrepancies against the final carrier invoice.


• Book and monitor Less Than Truckload, Full Truckload Freight and Intermodal shipments to ensure that least cost options are utilized.


• Work within the Order Management department to ensure highest level customer service.


• Processing of inbound and outbound shipments corresponding to receipts from the warehouses.


• Allocate available inventory to customer orders and dispatch orders to warehouse locations.


• Generate purchase orders for location/department invoices.


• Work internally with other key departments (Order Management, Finance, 3PL, Planning, Sales) to resolve inventory issues and to increase order fill rate opportunities.


• Reconcile discrepancies between SAP and warehouse inventories.

Minimum Qualifications:

• 1+ years of experience in a transportation, warehousing or inventory control environment


• High School Diploma


• General understanding of warehouse policies and procedures specific to shipping and receiving, inventory control and accuracy, and order management processes


• Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

Preferred Qualifications:

• Associate's Degree or above preferred


• Extensive experience utilizing a Warehouse Management System, Enterprise Resource Planning System, or Transportation Management systems, Receiving and Shipping Clerk knowledge, Order management and Inventory Control management


• Effective problem solving, process and task management skills
